The Tiger

Climb on the windowsill and tell my heart a lie
The artful dodger's pockets are full
creations character, you imply is a work of art
A blind man listens to a overflowing cup but refuses to touch the water and know why they say it's wet
when you could breath the life you imagine, but wither your hands with regret.
short rhymes of life, never yours..never taken to rebuild.
The holey tapestry you wove around an empty hoop
Fall in on yourself, leaving an image left to imagination, letter magnets array on the fridge, newspaper clippings and glue make a face.
the letters spell W H O?
One you never had, pieces borrowed from the blind man's mind, hands on a daughter you aren't , lips of a woman you wish to love, the vivid lines of pain on a father you haven't become.
Stealing that kiss to frame that adoration to make emotions yours that never were, in misconception.
But you express the need to be known, to be heard, to be loved.
A human need so real and honest it betrays you
